    Description

This engine more than likely came out of a 1957 car as it has hydraulic cam and lifters.
I originally purchased three different engines to try to find a standard crank for my 261 motor.
After tearing apart this engine, it appeared to be in good shape, like it had been recently rebuilt.
I decided to clean and reassemble this engine with the various improvements mentioned below.
    ·
The crank was polished to 20 thousandths on the rods, 10 thousandths on the mains and replaced with new bearings.
    ·
The crank was knurled, polished, and balanced with the nose tapped with a ½ inch bolt to hold on the harmonic balancer.
    ·
Replaced the rear main seal with a new rubber seal (BESTgasket
    4519 S).
    ·
The block was cleaned and repainted with new soft plugs installed.
    ·
    The
block was modified to have full flow oil pressure system with spin on filter as the original had only full pressure system.
    ·
Deburred water ports in head and block
    ·
The head was sent to a machine shop and had the valves ground, rocker arm assembly cleaned, and rocker arms resurfaced.
    ·
Drilled and tapped front main barring cap so the camshaft can be removed without removing oil pan.
    ·
    Converted breather to PCV valve.
I have an extra manifold intake and rebuilt carburetor if turbocharger is not desired, but prefer to sell with the turbo.
I have some extra parts that can be sent with the engine, if needed.
    ·
Fly wheel, clutch assembly, starters (floor or key), and alternator (already attached).  Also have a bell housing for a truck, right-hand hydraulic.
    Note:
The engine has no oil for shipping purposes and has never been run.
Prefer local pick-up but can be shipped domestically at buyers expense.
